Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 May 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Strim Mobility, SAS ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on aline.guide ("Aline", "the Service"). It complements our Privacy Policy and is published in compliance with the European ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, the French Loi Informatique et Libertés, and the GDPR.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. It can be read on subsequent visits. We also use localStorage and sessionStorage, which work similarly but are managed by the browser instead of being sent to the server.
In this Policy, "cookies" means cookies in the strict sense plus any equivalent technology (localStorage, IndexedDB, fingerprinting tags, web beacons), in line with the CNIL's recommendations.
2. Categories we use
We split cookies into two categories. Only necessary cookies are set by default. Analytics cookies are set only after you click "Accept" in the consent banner.
a) Strictly necessary cookies — no consent required
These cookies are required to make Aline work. Without them you cannot use the Service. Per Article 82 of the Loi Informatique et Libertés they are exempt from prior consent.
| Cookie / storage | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Bot mitigation and basic security | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Stores the result of a security challenge | 1 year |
aline.lang | Aline | Remembers your selected language (EN/FR/DE/RU/ES) | 12 months |
aline.consent | Aline | Stores your cookie-consent choice | 12 months |
| Tour progress (localStorage) | Aline | Lets you resume the tour where you left off | Until you clear it |
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention during tip payment — set only when you open the tip screen | 1 year / 30 minutes |
b) Analytics cookies — consent required
These help us understand which stops are loved, where people drop off, and which questions are asked of the AI assistant. They are set only if you accept them in the banner. You can withdraw consent at any time.
| Cookie / storage | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ph_<project-id>_posthog | PostHog (EU Cloud) | Anonymous product analytics — funnel events, drop-off by stop, AI-question topics | 12 months |
ph_<project-id>_session_id | PostHog (EU Cloud) | Session identification (anonymous) | 30 minutes |
PostHog is configured with person_profiles: 'identified_only' and session replay disabled — we do not record what you see or click outside aggregate event data.
c) Marketing / advertising cookies
We do not set any marketing, advertising, or social-media tracking cookies. There is no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads tag, no LinkedIn Insight, no third-party retargeting on this site.
3. Managing your preferences
When you first visit aline.guide a banner asks you to choose between:
- Accept analytics — necessary + analytics cookies will be set;
- Reject all but necessary — only necessary cookies will be set.
You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent will cause analytics cookies to be deleted at the end of the session.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you view, control and delete cookies. Helpful links:

If you block all cookies — including necessary ones — Aline may not work correctly: language selection won't persist, tour progress won't be remembered, and the tip payment may be blocked by Stripe's fraud-prevention layer.
5. International transfers
Some of the providers above (Cloudflare, PostHog when its US infrastructure is involved as a sub-processor, Stripe via its global card-network partners, Resend for transactional emails) may transfer data outside the European Economic Area. These transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (Modules 2 / 3, Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914) and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. PostHog itself runs on EU Cloud — your event data is stored in the European Union.
6. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove a cookie. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be announced through the cookie banner so you can re-confirm your preferences.
